A Personal Relationship with Jesus

Jesus wants you. You can be a Christian and become saved alone with Jesus because Jesus is your Savior and you can talk directly to Him at any time. It is your relationship with Jesus that matters most. He is a personal God that wants to be part of your life. Everything else including your church relationship grows from Jesus.

If you make Jesus the center of your life, He will change you for the better. My day begins with prayer, reading my Bible and listening for His voice. His voice for me is strongly connected with impressions He gives my spirit. He is with me throughout the day in my heart. Church occupies only part of my time with Him. Most of the rest of my time is alone with Him. So your focus should primarily be on letting Him develop a relationship with you because everything else comes from that.

Your relationship is most dependent upon your heart. My love grew through desire for Him in my heart that kept me searching for Him. He responded to my desire for evidence of Him with His Holy Shroud. If you feel a desire for Jesus in your heart recognize that is Him reaching out to you.

His Shroud for me was the key that helped me begin to know Him. To see Him is to know Him. I could now see His love for me. I witnessed His suffering but see His resurrection and know His promise of eternal life with Him is true because He lives!

My relationship grew deeper through prayer and reading my Bible and putting myself in churches and gatherings with other Christians worshipping the Lord. It is in these environments where He is present that I continued to grow.

The Bible is my favorite book and one of the ways God communicates with us. It has power. Its words feed my soul.

Prayer is my communication with the person I love most in life – God. No matter what I always have Him. My spirit rests in Him. It is my spirit that keeps me coming back to Him. I love God. I feel Him in my heart of hearts and I am incomplete without Him.

I am a Christian. That is my ultimate identification. I am a follower of Jesus. Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I will carry Him inside of me as long as I live.

My relationship with Jesus is independent of any church I may decide to participate in. I emphasize this because people can abandon Jesus due to their experiences with people in a church but not if their spirit is linked with His.  The most important advice I could give to a Christian is to focus on your relationship with Him. That is driven by our spiritual side. That is your anchor and will keep you connected to Him.

With Him we have eternal purpose, hope, life and love. Give Him your praise!
