It has now been years since I completed my book. I will update this page with observations that I wish to share and clarifications/corrections related to my book. I do not expect to ever update my book. So, this website should be considered a part of the book.
P. 73 Nail wounds. I make the statement: “Nail wounds in palm or close to wrist area.” This needs clarification. I am describing the entry point of the nail. The Shroud clearly shows the exit point in the wrist. A crucified body weight will not be supported by a nail in the center of the palm. The nail would either need to go directly in the wrist (the Destot’s Space) or angled in the palm through the thenar furrow inclined toward the wrist (Zugibe preferred this).
P. 79 Timeline of events. Barta came out with a book on the Sudarium in 2022 that shows my timeline needs to be adjusted. Add to 4 p.m. – the crown of thorns was removed. Remove from 5 p.m. “and the Sudarium is re-wrapped around the head.”
